Sorry for the delay in responding but I was out of town. If by "expressed very heavily in females", you mean that a classification type such as loop or whorl appeared more often in females than males, then your findings are most likely due to a small sample size. For instance, with DNA profiling, a sample size of 300 will generally give a good indication of the allele distribution.
Many studies on twins, especially here in Twinsburg, Ohio, have shown no correlation between genetics and fingerprint development It is apparently a completely random process.
