Plant pigments usually can be extracted by using a solvent such as acidified methanol. I have extracted the plant pigment from the peel of fruits. It is sure that it not only contains anthocyanins but also other pigments. Is there any way that I can seperate anthocyanins from other pigments in the form of solution only? Also I shall be grateful if you would answer me whether or not Anthocyanins are belong to 'Chromoplasts' Thank you
