Dear Katie,

Unlike fingerprints, which are formed prenatally, the wrinkles on your 
knuckles are acquired.  Acquired lines on the hand include deep FLEXION 
CREASES on the palms and shallow FLEXION LINES that can be seen on the 
knuckles.
