Many sites answer science questions. When visiting Ask-A services please consider the following:

Read the site's general information to determine the intent of the service and whether it provides an appropriate forum for your question.
If an archive is available, please check it before asking questions. You may find an answer and save the site maintainers considerable time and effort.
Some sites require an email address to ask and/or receive an answer.
Many sites select only a few questions to answer.
Foreign Language: As far as we are aware most Ask-A-Scientist services are English-based. Some sites will try to accomodate requests in foreign languages (Spanish, French and German are most likely to be sucessful). We know of a few of services in Canada that accept queries in French.

Ask-A-Scientist: Scientists and Innovators in the Schools, Nova Scotia (accepts questions from Canadian students only).
Ask Dr. Universe: Washington State University. Fields questions in a variety of areas, science and non-science.
Sky Lights: An ad-free website that covers topics from astronomy, meteorology, and earth science.
